Charge Out Rates
Kiwi Plumbing and Gas strives to provide quality service at an affordable price. With competitive market rates, our services are affordable and save you money.
We aim to deliver a prompt, efficient and friendly service that will leave you confident with peace of mind.
Travel charges;
A travel charge applies to all jobs, a minimum travel charge of applies to all jobs within 5km of Palmerston North city centre. For jobs outside of this area, an additional travel charge per km will apply.
In circumstances where additional travel is needed to require parts or changes etc, additional travel charges may apply.
We have a minimum charge out rate of 1 hour. After the first hour, work is charged in 15 minute increments. A travel fee does apply to all jobs. A minimum travel fee is charged on all jobs to cover costs of mileage, returns for parts etc.
For problems that occur on the weekend, we do provide a call out service available 24/7 day and night. A call out fee applies for call outs that fall outside of our regular working hours of Mon-Fri 7am - 5pm and public holidays.
Kiwi Plumbing and Gas strives to make things flow as smoothly as possible, not only do we have great prices but we also have frequent specials!
Please note our terms of trade state that unpaid invoices over the set time allocated on the invoice will have penalty charges for late payments and where necessary, if debt collection is needed, the customer will be charged the debt collection charges on top of their unpaid invoice amount. Where do we service?
We are based in Palmerston North but we service the Manawatu & Horowhenua Regions. We frequently service Fielding, Foxton, Ashhurst Foxton Beach, Himatangi Beach, Shannon and other surrounding towns. We also service outer regions such as Danniverke, Masterton, Paihiatua, Carterton, Levin, Marton etc generally for larger jobs.

Can I know the costs first?
Yes! Absolutely! We encourage customers to enquire and utilise our free quotes* service.
For many jobs we can provide costings for you. If you are considering having a big installation or are worried about the costs that might be incurred, you can request a free quote or contact us directly.

What are the payment options?
We offer several different payment options. Customers can pay by any of the following and/or a combination if requested.
- Credit card/Debit card (via your online invoice)
- Paypal (on request)
- Direct payment into bank account (provided on all quotes and invoices)
- Cash
- Direct payment through a bank branch (account details on all quotes and invoices)
We do not accept cheques and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Wood-fire installations - This is charged out at gas fitting rates (see above).
We can install gas wood-fires and regular wood fires with additional options such as wetback and solar.
Infinity hot water systems;
This is a combination of gas and plumbing labour. This is usually split into the approximate time spent on each during installation.
